Men's World!

Obraz
Hi there! A male project is a challanging experience! I haven't yet had a situation where I immediately know what I'm going to come up with when such an order comes in. I have a trick for this, which so far has worked out great. I ask my lovely customers about the likes and hobbies of the gentleman receiving the card. Someone would say I'm complicating things for myself, but for me it really is making it easier. It takes me a while to figure out how to use the information I've gathered, but then the work just rolls on by itself. So, as you can guess, this time it was a gentleman with a love of motorbikes. Come on, I'll tell you more! As a base I used the papers from the "Breeze of Dreams" collection from Margaret Paper Design. I cut out small elements from the cover of the collection: a woman with suitcases, kittens on chains and a motorbike. I glued these small elements with cardboard underneath for a 3D effect. The edges of the base are stitched on the...

Women's Power - Wall Decor

Obraz
Hi all! The decor I'm presenting today is the result of my work during a live meeting on the "Cudna Paczka" Facebook group. Some time ago, I volunteered to do a project on the vision theme of women's power. Only then I began to search for the colloquial understanding of this slogan, and I cannot hide the fact that I was somewhat taken aback by it. Well, the most popular vision is simply vulgar.... And this is not what was in my mind when I volunteered to do this task. So I decided to stick to my standards, according to which a woman, whether alone or with the support of other women, is an extraordinary power! Because who can do it if not us?! :) Therefore, in the frame you will see a lioness who has just returned from a hunt, exhausted, smeared in blood but confident and dignified. I wouldn't want to stand in her way at this moment. I found the lioness figure perfectly in harmony with the luscious colours from the November moodboard challenge.  See the poster bel...

Wild and Free - 40th Birthday Card

Obraz
Hi there, Today I present a card made to order on the occasion of a 40th birthday for a woman who loves lions. When I heard the expectations from the client I knew almost immediately what to do with it. It's not always so easy for me to design the artwork, so I'm even more pleased about that. With the colour scheme I was helped by the ongoing moodboard challenge on the  Dusty Attic 's blog - totally awesome for me! I write you about it every time, so you definitely know you can take part too. There's a pack of  Dusty Attic 's chippies to be won - go for it! The base is a beige DL cardoard, distress-covered, and I've also distressed most of the elements to meet another client's wish for a vintage-style card. On the first layer of decorative paper you can see some washi tape, which sticks out from under the corrugated cardboard. I like this touch in my scrapbooking work, so some time ago I stocked up on whole sheets, which you can also find in the  Dusty A...
